IN PATIENTS
Female and Male Ward
Wasso Hospital is composed of two wards : Male & Female. Each has a capacity of 25 beds, so 50 beds in total. Fausta Aminiel has been the Head of this department since 2014. She collaborates with 6 other colleagues. They are doing shifts every morning, evening and night, so wards are always under the responsibility of someone. On average, the wards are hosting 6 patients per day. Patients can stay as long as they need, according to their problems. Thanks to the prescription of the doctor, they can benefit from medication from the public pharmacy. If they need extra medication, they can buy it at the private pharmacy of Wasso Hospital. Wards are dealing with different issues : fractures, malaria, abortion, diarrhea, anemia, burns …
Inpatient Services:
1.General Surgery: Our general surgery department offers a wide range of surgical procedures to treat conditions affecting various organs and systems of the body, including gastrointestinal surgeries, hernia repair, and appendectomies, among others.
2.Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Our ICU is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring and life support systems to provide specialized care for critically ill patients, including those recovering from major surgeries, trauma, or severe medical conditions.
3.Internal Medicine: Our internal medicine department focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases, providing comprehensive medical care for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses.
4. Pediatrics: Our pediatric department specializes in the healthcare needs of infants, children, and adolescents, offering well-child check-ups, immunizations, treatment for childhood illnesses, and developmental assessments.
5. Chaplaincy & Palliative Care: Our chaplaincy and palliative care services provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families facing serious illness or end-of-life care, helping to alleviate suffering and enhance quality of life.
6. Dental Surgery: Our dental surgery unit offers a range of dental procedures, including extractions, fillings, root canals, and oral surgeries, to promote oral health and treat dental conditions.
